All the colours of the rainbow in full display as the autumn colours the beech trees in Rövarekulan nature preserve...

Just starting out on my way home from shooting the sunrise in the early autumn coloured forest, and some wildlife, i came upon this scene… and it was just to good to pass up on. Glorious sunlight filtering down through the trees highlighted by the early morning mists. Good times…

The magic of the summer nights… Noctilucent Clouds…
Just imagine everything being perfectly still… it’s quiet… far away you hear a bird sing in the summer twilight and above in the night sky, the blue and silver ice crystals dance in the mesosphere reflecting the sun’s light…

As the suns first rays of light peeks through the trees and the mist rising off the lake, this little yellow birch soaks up all that it can of the early warming light.

Some thunderstorms passed by and mother nature showed her power in a most beautiful way.

So last night there was quite the show in the night sky, on Midsummers Eve no less.

The Noctilucent Clouds put on a spectacular show and as it was nearing it’s end I caught this shot with the NLCs lightning up the night sky behind the Windmill of Kulla Gunnarstorp.

Found myself in the wrong place with the wrong lens to far away… but I managed to get a clear view and got my first ever twister with a proper camera.

The Noctilucent clouds shimmer and shine over the church in the village of Mölle in Scania, Sweden.

With the ending of the Milky Way season a new season begins... the first of the thunderstorms have already made their first loud appearances...

The summer nights are usually very beautiful with the neverending twilight and then when you add the shimmering lights from the Noctilucent Clouds it is just simply breathtaking.
Here I’ve captured its magnificence over the E6 Highway that stretches from Kirkenes in the northernmost parts of Norway down to Treleborg in southernmost parts of Sweden covering a distance of 3058km.

I’ve been wanting to take a lightning shot at this very location since I started taking photos. This little valley is just south of a small village called Glumslöv at it’s overlooking the Öresund straight between Denmark and Sweden and in the middle there is the Swedish island of Ven where the danish astronomer Tycho Brahe had his observatory in the 16th century. Unfortunately there are some street lights ruining the foreground a bit but my word did the storm provide some spectacular action this night. Just look how the clouds are torn to pieces by the winds feeding this stormcell. 2 very visible lightniong strikes in this single exposure but when observed closer there are a few more hidden in the rain.
